Edible Gardens

At Edible Gardens, we believe it is important to stay connected—to each other, to our food, and to the living world around us. We do not have to destroy the soil to grow a garden, and we do not have to treat animals poorly before they become part of our food. There is a better way to live: one that helps us grow healthy food, care for animals with respect, and build a deeper relationship with our surroundings.

We want our children to know where their food comes from—to learn how to grow it, harvest it from the wild or the garden, and preserve it for harder days. Today, information is right at our fingertips, so we can no longer claim ignorance when better answers are within reach. We can keep learning, ask better questions, and search for kinder, healthier ways to live.

Most of all, we believe in talking together, working as a team, and building a community that helps one another. Humans should not live parasitically on the places we call home. We can live in a more symbiotic relationship with our surroundings—giving back, caring for the land, and leaving every area we enter a little better than we found it.
